RESUMO: O Estado de São Paulo é um importante polo produtor de grãos no Brasil. Entretanto, existe
uma carência de informações a respeito dos custos de produção e estruturas necessárias para iniciar essa
atividade agrícola. Diante disso, objetivou-se verificar a rentabilidade das culturas soja e milho para se
iniciar como produtor rural pessoa física. Foram levantados os dados entre 2017 e 2018 em 15 municípios
e 30 propriedades do estado. As informações foram obtidas referentes as aquisições e fatores de produção
necessários para a implantação e condução das culturas acrescidas dos valores de arrendamento de terras,
seguro rural, armazenagem de grãos e tributações. A rentabilidade líquida foi obtida pela diferença entre o
custo total de produção e a renda bruta. Os resultados apontaram que o agricultor não possuidor das terras para o cultivo teria lucro mensal de R$1.479,50 e o possuidor das terras teria lucro mensal de
R$12.236,47.

ABSTRACT: The State of São Paulo is an important grain producer in Brazil. However, there is a lack of
information regarding the production costs and structures needed to start agricultural activity. Therefore,
the objective was to verify the profitability of soybean and corn crops to start as an individual rural producer. Data were collected between 2017 and 2018 in 15 municipalities and 30 state properties. The information was obtained regarding the acquisitions and factors of production necessary for the implantation and conduction of the crops plus the values of land lease, rural insurance, grain storage and taxation.
Net profitability was obtained by the difference between the total cost of production and the gross income.
The results showed that the farmer without land for cultivation would have a monthly profit of
R$1,479.50 and the owner of the land would have a monthly profit of R$12,236.47
